Junior Application Support Engineer – Durban (R20k‑R22k CTC)

About the role

Join a dynamic environment where you will manage daily campaign operations, maintain database functionality and ensure system performance while supporting both internal and external stakeholders.

Key responsibilities

• Apply 1+ years of SQL experience in a contact centre/BPO environment to support specialised business processes.
• Configure and maintain scheduling and automation tools, checking SFTP drives daily for successful file transfers.
• Manage daily data file imports, validate accuracy and resolve import errors with Business Analysts.
• Assist the Database Administrator with maintenance plans, backups, restores, recovery testing and user permissions.
• Analyse and optimise SQL queries and indexes to improve database performance.
• Extract data from SQL databases, compile reports in Excel and present findings to clients.
• Test new functionality developed by Business Analysts to ensure alignment with specifications before deployment.

Required profile

• Minimum of 1 year of SQL experience.
• IT Diploma or equivalent qualification.
• Strong analytical, problem‑solving and critical‑thinking abilities with attention to detail.
• Customer‑service orientation and ability to work under pressure.
