Junior Air Quality Consultant

About the role

AECOM is recruiting a Junior Air Quality Consultant for its Enterprise Capabilities (EC) Environment team, a desk-based remote position supporting the UK team. The role sits within the Air Quality practice of the Carbon & Advisory sub-business unit, which covers air quality, carbon & ESG and digital environment. You will work alongside junior and senior team members on projects for public and private clients.

Key responsibilities

• Support air quality monitoring through desk-based data analysis
• Carry out air quality modelling
• Analyse and interpret data, and write reports and proposals
• Collaborate with colleagues and clients
• Examples of day-to-day work include dispersion modelling with ADMS, designing dust monitoring programmes, writing code to analyse data, desk-based occupational exposure analysis, and writing air quality chapters for environmental statements

Required profile

• Experience as an Air Quality Consultant
• Degree-level education in a numerate subject
• Good communicator confident engaging with clients, colleagues and stakeholders
• Self-motivated, organised under pressure, good team player and able to work independently

Required skills

• Extensive experience of air quality modelling software such as ADMS and GIS
• Programming skills (e.g. R Studio) advantageous
• Expert use of Excel and Word
