Junior Accounts Payable (Xero) – Southern Suburbs

About the role

Our client in the Cape Town Southern Suburbs is looking for a Junior Accounts Payable professional with strong Xero and Excel skills. You will join the finance team to process invoices, reconcile supplier accounts and support month‑end reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Receive, capture and process all incoming accounts payable invoices accurately and on time.
• Verify each invoice against purchase orders and goods/services received.
• Cross‑reference invoices with operations to confirm receipt.
• Reconcile supplier statements with payment records and prevent duplicate payments.
• Liaise with suppliers to resolve billing queries and disputes.
• Maintain organised records to support month‑end and reporting processes.

Required profile

• Matric with a finance qualification.
• 2‑3 years proven experience in an accounts payable or similar finance role.
• Bilingual in English and Afrikaans.
• Strong time‑management, high accuracy and ability to meet deadlines.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Xero accounting software.
• Intermediate Excel skills, including spreadsheet management.
