Junior Accounts Manager (Half Day) – Port Elizabeth

About the role

We are seeking a driven, client‑focused Junior Accounts Manager for a half‑day position in Port Elizabeth. The role will handle day‑to‑day financial administration, ensure local tax and regulatory compliance, and free senior staff to concentrate on strategic initiatives.

Key responsibilities

• Post daily journal entries, process vendor invoices and record customer payments.
• Perform monthly bank, accounts payable and accounts receivable reconciliations.
• Assist in preparing balance sheets, income statements and basic financial reports.
• Support month‑end closing activities including accruals, pre‑payments and ledger adjustments.
• Gather data, organise receipts and compile schedules for external audits and tax filings.
• Investigate and resolve billing errors or mismatched transaction records.

Required profile

• Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of accounting or senior bookkeeping experience.
• Excellent verbal and written communication in English; additional South African languages a plus.
• Strong organisational abilities, problem‑solving mindset and capacity to multitask under tight deadlines.
• High level of integrity, self‑motivation and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
