Junior Accountant – Remote (Gauteng-based)

About the role

Accounting with a passport, without leaving your desk. Our client, a multinational travel and tourism agency, is seeking a Junior Accountant to join their expanding finance team. The role is fully remote, but you must be based in Gauteng, South Africa, and you will work across a growing international business with multi‑entity and multi‑currency accounting opportunities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage bookkeeping through to balance sheet
• Process and reconcile financial transactions
• Assist with month‑end close and reporting
• Maintain accurate financial records across entities
• Assist with accounts payable and receivable
• Prepare reconciliations and investigate variances
• Support finance reporting and ad‑hoc analysis
• Assist with improving finance processes and efficiencies

Required profile

• BCom Degree essential
• 1 to 3 years' accounting experience
• Travel & Tourism, DMC, Hospitality or Property experience highly beneficial
• Multi‑entity / multi‑currency experience advantageous
• Strong understanding of accounting principles
• Strong communication skills
• Positive energy, problem‑solving mindset and a go‑getter attitude
