Junior Accountant

About the role

Key responsibilities

• Process invoices, payments and reconciliations to keep records accurate.
• Assist with month‑end and year‑end financial close processes.
• Support the preparation of financial statements and management reports.
• Collaborate with team members to improve accounting processes and systems.
• Help maintain compliance with tax regulations and internal controls.
• Learn and grow under the mentorship of experienced accounting professionals.

Required profile

• Relevant bookkeeping or accounting qualification (diploma, degree or currently pursuing).
• 1‑2 years of practical experience in accounting or finance (preferred but not mandatory).
• Proficiency with accounting software such as Xero, Pastel or similar.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent organisational skills.
• Good understanding of basic accounting principles and practices.
• Highly motivated with a willingness to learn and take initiative.
• Effective communication skills and ability to work well within a team.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines reliably.
