About the role
The GIBB Youth Employment Service (YES) Programme offers a 12‑month, fixed‑term IT position based in Cape Town’s central business district. It is designed for South African graduates who have completed a degree in Software Development and are looking to gain practical experience in a multidisciplinary engineering environment.
Required profile
- South African citizen born in South Africa.
- Age between 18 and 35.
- Unemployed and available for full‑time work on a 12‑month fixed‑term contract.
- Not a previous YES beneficiary.
- Holds a completed degree or qualification in Software Development with exposure to the listed technologies.
- PC literate and eager to learn new skills.
- Responsible and honest.

- SQL Server
- C#
- Power BI / Dashboards
- Microsoft Azure
- Microsoft 365 (M365) stack
- Power Platform (Power Apps, Power Automate)
- SharePoint development
- Understanding of databases, data structures and software testing concepts
