IT Support Technician Learnership (Hybrid, Durban)

About the role

We are looking for a motivated, customer‑focused IT Support Technician (Level 1) to join our hybrid team in Umhlanga, Durban on a 12‑month learnership. You will receive full internal training while providing first‑line technical assistance across multiple communication channels.

Key responsibilities

• Answer inbound support calls and respond to customer emails.
• Log, manage, and update tickets in the SupportPal system.
• Provide remote troubleshooting for connectivity and network issues.
• Monitor network health and proactively identify service disruptions.
• Assist with router setup, configuration, and basic VOIP installation.
• Meet defined response and resolution deadlines while collaborating with the support team.
• Participate in rotational shifts, including weekends and after‑hours support.

Required profile

• Matric (Grade 12) or currently studying towards an IT qualification.
• Holding A+ and/or N+ certification is advantageous.
• Strong interest in building a long‑term career in IT support or networking.
• Basic IT knowledge and understanding of computer systems and connectivity.
