IT Support Engineer (Level 1)

About the role

We are seeking an IT Support Engineer (Level 1) to provide first‑ and second‑line assistance to end‑users across multiple locations, including North Europe, the US and the UK. The role is remote‑based in South Africa and focuses on delivering a high‑quality user experience for laptops, desktops, mobile devices and Microsoft 365 applications.

Key responsibilities

• Install and configure computer hardware, software, operating systems, networks, printers and scanners.
• Provide remote and on‑site technical support to end‑users, troubleshooting laptops, desktops and mobile phones.
• Support Microsoft 365 applications such as Teams, SharePoint Online, Exchange and video‑conferencing tools.
• Create and maintain user accounts and resolve service requests promptly.
• Repair or replace equipment as needed and test innovative technologies.
• Develop and update knowledge‑base articles and user manuals.

Required profile

• 3‑5 years of experience in an IT customer support role.
• Strong customer‑first mindset with excellent communication skills.
• Fluent in English; additional languages are a plus.
• Ability to work in an international, multicultural environment.
• Flexible and willing to work outside regular hours when required.

Required skills

• Microsoft Windows 10 and Windows 11.
• Microsoft Teams, Outlook and SharePoint Online.
• Microsoft Exchange and video‑conferencing platforms.
• Hardware installation and configuration (laptops, desktops, printers, scanners).
• Software configuration and network setup.
