IT Project Manager

About the role

We are looking for an energetic IT Project Manager to lead application development and software delivery projects for Bestmed Medical Scheme. The role bridges business stakeholders, development teams, architects, QA and operations to ensure technology solutions meet business objectives.

Key responsibilities

• Manage end‑to‑end software projects from initiation through implementation and transition to operations.
• Define scope, objectives, deliverables, milestones and success criteria in collaboration with stakeholders.
• Develop and maintain detailed project plans, schedules, resource allocations and delivery roadmaps.
• Apply appropriate governance frameworks and monitor scope, budget, timeline and quality throughout the lifecycle.
• Facilitate Agile, Scrum, Waterfall or hybrid delivery practices, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, stand‑ups and retrospectives.
• Coordinate testing, QA, UAT, deployment planning and production releases.
• Produce regular status reports, dashboards and executive updates for steering committees.

Required profile

• Proven experience delivering IT projects on time, within scope and budget.
• Strong ability to manage risks, dependencies and changing business priorities.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Leadership capability to guide cross‑functional teams.
