IT Officer / IT Support Specialist – Johannesburg

About the role

The company is seeking an experienced IT Officer / IT Support Specialist to provide technical assistance across its Johannesburg operations. The role focuses on maintaining a reliable IT environment for employees in a manufacturing/FMCG setting.

Key responsibilities

• Provide first‑line technical support to staff, troubleshooting hardware and software issues.
• Install, update and configure software applications and operating systems.
• Maintain an accurate inventory of hardware assets.
• Support Microsoft Windows, Microsoft 365, printers, CCTV, biometric and access‑control systems.
• Assist with networking tasks, including routers, switches and wireless infrastructure.
• Apply basic cybersecurity and data‑protection practices.

Required profile

• National Diploma or Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems or a related field.
• 5–8 years of experience in IT support or administration.
• Background in manufacturing, production, warehouse or FMCG environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft 365.
• Knowledge of printers, CCTV, biometric and access‑control systems.
• Understanding of networking principles and hardware troubleshooting.
