About the role

This 12‑month, INSETA‑supported internship offers recent South African IT graduates the chance to work within the IT department of OUTsurance, a leading financial services provider. The fixed‑term placement provides a stipend and practical exposure to corporate IT operations.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in Cyber Security Operations, protecting digital assets and data.
• Support Security Administration tasks and maintain security systems.
• Participate in Infrastructure management and upkeep.
• Learn and apply Networking principles and troubleshooting.
• Provide Service Support, handling technical assistance for end‑users.

Required profile

• South African citizen aged 18‑35, unemployed for at least two months and not previously part of an INSETA internship.
• Relevant IT qualification with a strong work ethic and professionalism.
• Ability to communicate clearly and work collaboratively in a team.

Required skills

• Basic understanding of computer hardware and software.
• Familiarity with various operating systems.
• Fundamental programming knowledge in Python or C#.
• Introductory networking fundamentals.
