IT Hardware Sales Consultant

About the role

PC International is seeking a motivated IT Hardware Sales Consultant to join its Johannesburg sales team. You will act as a technology advisor, matching customer needs with the right hardware solutions and driving revenue growth.

Key responsibilities

• Handle sales enquiries via phone, email, WhatsApp, website and walk‑ins.
• Consult customers to understand requirements, budget and intended use.
• Recommend appropriate laptops, desktops, components, monitors, printers, networking equipment and accessories.
• Prepare accurate quotations, pro‑forma invoices and sales orders.
• Source products from approved suppliers, verify stock, pricing, warranties and lead times.
• Follow up on outstanding quotations, convert enquiries into sales and meet sales targets.
• Develop and maintain relationships with individual, business and corporate customers.
• Coordinate with suppliers, technical, workshop, administration and logistics teams to ensure correct order fulfilment.
• Maintain detailed records of enquiries, quotations and customer communications.
• Stay up‑to‑date with the latest developments in computer hardware.

Required profile

• Matric or equivalent qualification.
• Strong commercial drive and customer‑service orientation.
• Ability to understand technical specifications and translate them into business solutions.

Required skills

• Knowledge of laptops and desktop computers.
• Familiarity with hardware components such as processors, graphics cards, storage and memory.
• Understanding of monitors, printers and networking equipment.
• Experience with accessories and peripheral devices.
