Investment Analyst – Global Markets & US Equities

About the role

Our client, a private investment firm with a global focus, is seeking an Investment Analyst to cover US equities and indices during US market hours. The role blends fundamental research, macro analysis, and hands‑on trade execution, reporting directly to the CIO.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and develop investment ideas across US equities, indices and related asset classes, incorporating fundamentals, macro data, events, technical factors and options‑market information.
• Provide real‑time market coverage during US trading hours, alerting the CIO to material developments and recommending actions.
• Translate approved investment views into concrete trade structures, selecting instruments, strikes, expiries and managing execution in equities, ETFs, index products and listed options.
• Monitor and manage open positions, including Greeks, P&L, time decay and upcoming expiries, and recommend adjustments or exits as needed.

Required profile

• Strong understanding of US equities, equity indices and related macro‑economic drivers.
• Practical familiarity with fixed income, FX and commodities and how they impact equity and options positions.
• Ability to think independently, identify emerging trends and challenge consensus views.
• Experience executing trades and managing positions through to exit.
