About the role

The KwaZulu‑Natal Department of Economic Development, Tourism and Environmental Affairs is offering a 2026/2027 Internship Programme for unemployed graduates. The programme provides structured workplace experience across a wide range of functional areas to enhance future employment prospects.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in a structured internship programme within the Department, rotating through assigned functional units such as finance, IT, public administration, environmental management, and more.
• Support day‑to‑day operations in the designated area under the guidance of senior staff, contributing to project delivery and departmental objectives.

Required profile

• Unemployed graduate holding a relevant degree or postgraduate qualification for the advertised internship reference (e.g., finance, human resources, information technology, environmental sciences, law, etc.).
• Ability to submit a completed Z83 application form, an updated CV and a signed affidavit confirming no prior government internship.
