About the role

As a participant in Takealot’s Internship Program for 2026/2027, you will work alongside industry experts to gain hands‑on experience across business, marketing, finance, supply‑chain and technology functions within South Africa’s leading e‑commerce company.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with team members on day‑to‑day operations and project‑based assignments.
• Conduct research, data analysis and reporting to support business decision‑making.
• Participate in team meetings, brainstorming sessions and contribute innovative ideas to improve processes and customer experience.
• Support the implementation of marketing and promotional campaigns across digital channels.
• Create content for social media, blog posts, newsletters and other communication platforms.
• Assist in developing and executing customer service initiatives to enhance satisfaction.
• Work with cross‑functional teams on inventory management, supply‑chain operations and logistics.
• Stay updated on industry trends, market developments and competitor analysis.

Required profile

• Currently enrolled in or recently completed a degree in Business, Marketing, Finance, Supply Chain Management, Computer Science or a related field.
• Strong analytical ability and capacity to interpret data.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Proactive, self‑motivated attitude with willingness to take on new challenges.
• Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines.
• Adaptability to a fast‑paced, dynamic environment.
• A passion for e‑commerce and interest in the retail industry.
• Prior internship or work experience is advantageous but not required.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
