About the role
Barberton Mines, a gold mining operation established in 1886, offers an Internship and Experiential Learning Programme across its three mines – Fairview, New Consort and Sheba. The programme is designed to give graduates and diploma (P1+P2) students practical exposure to the mining industry and to develop critical business competencies. Participants will work on a fixed‑term basis, either for two years as graduate interns or six months as diploma students.
Key responsibilities
- Participate in Mining Engineering activities.
- Participate in Metallurgy projects.
- Participate in Electrical operations.
- Participate in Financial Accounting tasks.
- Acquire critical business competencies through cross‑functional exposure.
Required profile
- Graduates or diploma (P1+P2) students.
- Hold N2 or higher qualifications relevant to the mining sector.
