Internal Sales – Retail Hardware (Gauteng)

About the role

We are seeking a high‑energy Internal Sales professional to join our retail hardware team. You will be the primary point of contact for customers, providing expert advice on hardware, paint, tools and building materials while driving sales growth.

Key responsibilities

• Manage and grow existing customer relationships.
• Process quotations, orders and enquiries efficiently.
• Provide expert product advice and tailored solutions.
• Identify sales opportunities and upsell complementary products.
• Collaborate closely with customers, suppliers and the external sales team.
• Deliver exceptional customer service at all times.

Required profile

• Proven experience in the hardware and paint industry (non‑negotiable).
• Extensive product knowledge across hardware, paint, tools, building materials and accessories.
• Previous experience using Kerridge or a similar ERP/trading system.
• Fast learner with the ability to quickly understand new products, suppliers and customer requirements.
• Strong sales and customer service orientation.
• Energetic, proactive and driven to exceed targets.
• Excellent communication and problem‑solving abilities.
