Internal Sales Representative – Construction – Steel

About the role

The Internal Sales Representative will be the first point of contact for new and prospective clients in the steel construction sector. Working from the Muizenberg office, you will guide clients from initial enquiry through quoting, design discussion and project sign‑off, collaborating closely with the fabrication team.

Key responsibilities

• Respond promptly to enquiries via phone, email, social media and referrals.
• Conduct site visits to measure and assess feasibility for balustrades, gates, pergolas, staircases and bespoke steel projects.
• Prepare accurate quotes based on materials, design complexity, finishes and installation requirements.
• Present design options and material/finish selections to clients.
• Build and maintain relationships with architects, builders, interior designers and developers to generate repeat and referral business.
• Liaise between clients and the workshop to ensure design intent, technical specifications and delivery timelines are met.
• Follow up on outstanding quotes, manage the sales pipeline and keep client/project records up‑to‑date in CRM systems.
• Support marketing by gathering project photos, client testimonials and content for brochures and social media.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of sales experience, preferably in construction, architecture, interior design or the steel industry.
• Strong communication and relationship‑building skills with homeowners, architects and contractors.
• Ability to read basic architectural drawings and take accurate site measurements.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport.
• Well‑organized with disciplined follow‑up on quotes and leads.
