Internal Sales Consultant – Retail

About the role

Our client is seeking a motivated and organised Internal Sales Consultant with retail experience in electrical hardware. The role involves providing expert product advice, managing stock levels, and supporting customers through various channels.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical advice and product recommendations for electrical hardware and installations.
• Process walk‑in, phone, and email orders accurately using the ERP K8 system.
• Manage end‑to‑end stock takes, cycle counts and resolve inventory discrepancies.
• Build rapport with trade customers to encourage repeat business and loyalty.
• Maintain an organised, well‑merchandised showroom and coordinate with the warehouse for order fulfillment.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of retail sales experience in electrical components or hardware.
• Proven experience with stock management, inventory control and formal stock‑taking procedures.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills with a professional demeanor.
• Ability to handle difficult customers calmly and maintain high numeracy and attention to detail.
