Internal Process Controller – IT Audit

About the role

Premier FMCG is seeking an Internal Process Controller – IT Audit to join its Governance & Internal Control team in Johannesburg. The role will lead and execute IT‑focused audits across business units, ensuring internal controls are effective and risks are properly mitigated.

Key responsibilities

• Plan, conduct and report on IT audits in line with the company’s audit framework.
• Assess the efficiency and effectiveness of internal controls, populate risk and control matrices, and develop audit work‑papers.
• Perform data‑analytics procedures to support audit evidence and conclusions.
• Lead opening and closing audit meetings and communicate findings to stakeholders.
• Provide guidance and training to junior team members and review their work.
• Address audit review notes promptly and ensure timely delivery of reports to the Governance & Internal Control Manager.

Required profile

• Proven experience as an internal auditor with a focus on IT auditing.
• Strong analytical mindset and ability to work independently with professional objectivity.
• Excellent communication skills for interaction with business stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple audit assignments and meet deadlines.
