Internal Controls Analyst

About the role
The Internal Controls Analyst will support Anglo American’s Global Shared Services by ensuring the adequacy of the internal control environment, performing reviews, and supporting compliance and attestation processes.
Key responsibilities
- Perform planned and ad‑hoc process and control reviews to assess the adequacy and effectiveness of the control environment.
- Support internal and external assurance partners in line with Anglo American’s combined assurance approach.
- Drive the management attestation process and ensure key financial reporting controls are signed off by owners.
- Maintain and update the Risk and Control Matrix (RACM) and related documentation.
- Identify, track and report remediation actions, and monitor their implementation.
- Ensure process documentation meets compliance requirements and support enablement activities.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Auditing, Finance, Commerce, Accounting or related field.
- Experience with internal control frameworks, compliance and governance.
