Internal Auditor

About the role

Discovery’s Group Internal Audit team is seeking an Internal Auditor to support audit engagements across the organisation. You will work closely with senior auditors to plan, execute, and report on audits, ensuring compliance with internal policies, external regulations, and industry standards.

Key responsibilities

• Perform audits in line with Discovery’s Audit Methodology and Pentana audit software.
• Assist senior auditors in preparing engagement letters and documenting system descriptions.
• Review documented systems, risks, and controls for compliance and significance.
• Develop test procedures, conduct fieldwork testing, and draft working papers.
• Provide timely feedback on audit progress and escalate issues as needed.
• Confirm identified errors or control weaknesses with business owners before drafting observations.
• Prepare draft audit reports, agree on sample sizes, and update audit software with final evidence.

Required profile

• Strong sense of urgency, flexibility, and ability to work independently.
• Proficiency with the IIA International Professional Practices Framework (IPPF), Code of Ethics and Standards.
• Experience in documenting risks, controls, and audit findings.
