Intermediate Quality Engineer – Card & Payments (Issuing & Acquiring)

About the role

QoT Solutions is seeking an Intermediate Quality Engineer to support a payments and financial services client. The role focuses on card issuing and acquiring systems, POS, and high‑volume, compliance‑driven environments.

Key responsibilities

• Collaborate with developers, QA teams, project managers and clients to gather and refine test requirements.
• Design, document and execute comprehensive test plans, scripts and test cases for card issuing, acquiring and payment systems.
• Perform end‑to‑end testing, including certification cycles, API testing, transaction validation and batch/settlement log analysis.
• Track test coverage, log defects, report progress and support UAT, production validation and post‑deployment testing.
• Maintain detailed quality documentation, reusable test assets and contribute to sprint ceremonies and continuous improvement initiatives.

Required profile

• 3+ years of quality engineering experience in structured, regulated environments.
• Proven expertise in card payments (issuing & acquiring), fleet and POS systems, and familiarity with Visa, MasterCard and Diners certifications.
• Strong foundation in testing principles such as SIT, integration, regression and UAT.
• Experience working with JIRA, SOAP UI and Postman for test management and API testing.
• Solid proficiency in Excel and ability to design test data and report bugs.
