Intermediate Java Developer (Back‑End)

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Java developer to join our team in Stellenbosch and tackle complex back‑end challenges. The role involves investigating technical problems, designing robust solutions and delivering high‑quality software throughout the full development lifecycle.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse and resolve complex back‑end issues across the software development lifecycle.
• Design, develop and maintain RESTful APIs using Java and Spring Boot.
• Optimise SQL queries and database performance.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to implement micro‑services and event‑driven architectures.
• Participate in code reviews, testing and continuous integration processes.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on back‑end development experience.
• Strong analytical thinking and problem‑solving abilities.
• Relevant degree in Computer Science or a related field.
