About the role
Werkie, an established tech company in Pretoria, is seeking an intermediate full‑stack developer to own the full‑cycle development of scalable applications. You will work in a hybrid environment, collaborating with senior and junior team members while mentoring junior developers.
Key responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable full‑stack systems.
- Develop and manage robust databases and system architecture.
- Write clean, maintainable, production‑ready code.
- Participate in code reviews and enforce coding standards.
- Troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
- Perform unit and performance testing.
- Collaborate closely with senior and junior developers.
- Mentor and support junior developers.
- Stay current with industry trends and propose workflow improvements.
Required profile
- Proven experience in full‑cycle software development.
- Passion for clean code and scalable system design.
- Ability to mentor and support junior team members.
- Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail.
