Interior Designer – Luxury Studio (Pretoria East)

About the role

If you are an Interior Designer who enjoys seeing an idea progress from the drawing board to the finished space, step into this role in Pretoria East at a luxury interior design studio whose portfolio includes boutique hotels, high‑end retail spaces, luxury lodges and elite homes.

Key responsibilities

• Develop space plans, furniture layouts, elevations, sections, ceiling and lighting plans, flooring layouts and other technical documentation.
• Produce detailed drawings for custom carpentry, built‑in elements, bespoke furniture, upholstery and specialist installations.
• Review architectural drawings and 3D models, redrawing or developing models where required.
• Source and specify furniture, appliances, sanitaryware, flooring, lighting, hardware, fabrics, finishes and other products, checking dimensions, lead times and budget implications.
• Maintain accurate finishes files, drawing revisions, schedules and project documentation while coordinating with suppliers, manufacturers, contractors and specialist consultants.
• Support projects through costing, production, installation and final completion, and contribute to product development projects as needed.

Required profile

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to consider manufacturing, transport, installation and maintenance aspects of designs.
• Comfortable moving between creative and technical sides of design and able to manage several deliverables across project teams.
• Good organisation, document control, communication and time‑management skills.
• Valid driver’s licence and reliable transport for site visits.

Required skills

• Proficiency in design, 3D modelling and technical documentation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp).
• Ability to read and interpret architectural and consultant drawings.
