Instrumentation & Control Supervisor

About the role

The Instrumentation & Control (I&C) Supervisor is responsible for overseeing day‑to‑day I&C activities on shift, ensuring that preventive and corrective maintenance, planned outages, and overhauls are executed safely and efficiently. The role supports plant availability and system reliability while adhering to HSE guidelines and quality standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise daily I&C operations, including preventive and corrective maintenance, planned outages, and overhauls.
• Lead a team of technicians, assigning resources to scheduled maintenance, breakdowns, and major repairs.
• Troubleshoot instrumentation and control systems to maintain uninterrupted plant operation.
• Test and validate equipment after repairs to confirm compliance with quality standards.
• Conduct regular inspections, monitor work progress, and report non‑conformances to the I&C Engineer.
• Assist in the investigation and specification of system modifications, preparing technical submissions and cost estimates.
• Coordinate planning and execution of critical outage maintenance, ensuring alignment with OEM recommendations.
• Maintain accurate maintenance documentation, including logs of faults, repairs, labor, and materials.
• Ensure compliance with health, safety, security, and environmental procedures.
• Monitor spare‑parts inventory and facilitate procurement to guarantee timely availability.

Required profile

• Proven experience supervising instrumentation and control maintenance activities.
• Strong understanding of preventive and corrective maintenance processes.
• Ability to lead and motivate a technical team to meet targets.
• Excellent problem‑solving skills for troubleshooting I&C systems.
• Familiarity with outage planning and execution.
• Commitment to HSE standards and documentation accuracy.
