Inspire F&B Management Training Programme

About the role

The Inspire F&B programme is designed for promising hotel talent who want to learn hotel operations alongside experienced professionals. It offers an immersive experience across the group's restaurants, bars and banquets, developing skills and giving a global view of luxury industry standards. The programme is full-time and based in Cape Town.

Key responsibilities

• Rotate through all food and beverage outlets
• Supervise the service team in collaboration with the banquet and F&B management teams
• Take care of guests personally, including reservations, seating, order taking and cashier duties where needed
• Take part in administrative work such as planning, opening and closing tasks, and cleaning and maintenance checklists
• Manage pressure and competing demands from other departments regarding inventory and budget
• Plan colleagues effectively and prepare the hotel and department for future audits

Required profile

• Graduated from a recognised hotel school or university within the last two years
• At least 1 year of experience in food and beverage service
• Fluency in spoken and written English
• Flexibility, adaptability and stress resistance, with a team and customer-service orientation
• Attention to detail, organisation, ability to meet deadlines and confidentiality

Required skills

• Computer literacy is a must, with strong knowledge of Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
