Insights & Analytics Director

About the role

We are seeking an experienced, commercially‑minded Insights & Analytics Director to lead our research team and drive the planning and delivery of insights across the business. The role combines sales, production and people leadership while supporting product and service innovation.

Key responsibilities

• Provide direction, guidance and leadership to the research team, fostering an open, curious and high‑performance culture.
• Contribute strategic input to research and development, maintain business intelligence resources and test new insights tools.
• Support sales proposals, pitch preparation and client growth initiatives, identifying upselling opportunities.
• Oversee research operations, ensuring access to tools, methodology quality, capacity planning and project oversight.
• Manage supplier relationships, contracts and invoice approvals while ensuring compliance with POPIA.
• Develop and manage the annual people plan, recruitment, performance management and succession planning.

Required profile

• At least 9 years of market research or business analytics experience, with a postgraduate degree in a related discipline.
• Extensive quantitative and qualitative research experience across brand, product, innovation, media and customer experience.
• Proven ability to lead people and complex research projects, with strong statistical knowledge and familiarity with research platforms.
• Willingness to travel occasionally and fluency in spoken and written English.
