Industry Sales Manager - Oil & Gas

About the role

Sulzer, a global leader in fluid engineering and rotating equipment services, is looking for an experienced Industry Sales Manager for its Oil & Gas segment in South Africa. The role drives growth across the country's Oil & Gas sector and strengthens Sulzer's position as the service partner of choice.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute the sales strategy for the Oil & Gas industry segment.
• Drive sustainable growth through new business development and key account management.
• Build relationships with operators, EPC contractors, refineries, petrochemical facilities and maintenance teams.
• Identify opportunities for maintenance, repair, overhaul, retrofit and field service solutions.
• Lead commercial negotiations and contract discussions.
• Collaborate with service centres and operational teams to deliver customer-focused solutions.
• Maintain an accurate sales pipeline and deliver against revenue and profitability targets.
• Monitor market trends, competitor activity and emerging opportunities in the Oil & Gas sector.

Required profile

• Proven experience in technical sales, business development or account management within the Oil & Gas industry.
• Strong commercial acumen with a track record of delivering sales growth.
• Excellent relationship-building and stakeholder management skills.
• Able to influence decision-makers and develop long-term customer partnerships.
• A results-driven mindset with a passion for winning new business.
• A relevant technical or commercial qualification is advantageous.

Required skills

• Knowledge of rotating equipment, pumps, compressors, turbines, motors, electromechanical equipment or industrial services.
