Industrial Engineer – Retail Supply Chain

About the role

A leading South African retail organisation is seeking an experienced Industrial Engineer to join its Business Solutions team. The role focuses on high‑impact supply‑chain projects across distribution centres, transport, shipping and stores, aiming to improve operations, systems and facility infrastructure.

Key responsibilities

• Develop business cases and provide data‑driven recommendations.
• Lead and deliver supply‑chain improvement projects.
• Identify, prioritize and drive continuous‑improvement initiatives.
• Map, analyse and redesign supply‑chain processes.
• Provide systems support and user training.
• Develop integrated business processes and identify efficiency, capacity and cost opportunities.
• Collaborate with multiple departments and stakeholders to deliver solutions.
• Analyse operational data to spot trends and improvement areas.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Industrial Engineering or a related field.
• 5–8 years of post‑qualification experience as an Industrial Engineer.
• Experience in warehouse, distribution or broader supply‑chain environments is highly advantageous.
• Willingness to travel when required.

Required skills

• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel.
• Advanced proficiency in Google Sheets.
