ICU Registered Nurse – Western Cape

About the role
We are looking for an ICU‑qualified Registered Nurse to provide high‑quality care to critically ill patients in a leading private hospital in the Western Cape. The role involves direct patient management, teamwork with multidisciplinary staff, and upholding the highest standards of safety and infection control.
Key responsibilities
- Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients.
- Monitor and manage ventilated patients and advanced life‑support equipment.
- Collaborate with physicians, therapists and other clinicians to optimise patient outcomes.
- Maintain strict infection prevention and control practices.
- Mentor and support junior nursing staff.
- Accurately document patient information and ICU records.
Required profile
- Diploma in Critical Care (essential).
- Degree or Diploma in General Nursing.
- SANC registration.
- Minimum 3 years of ICU experience.
Required skills
- Ventilator management.
- Advanced life‑support equipment operation.
- Infection prevention and control.
