ICU Enrolled Nurse – Johannesburg

About the role

We are seeking experienced Enrolled Nurses to provide high‑quality critical care in the Intensive Care Unit of a leading private hospital in Johannesburg. The role involves direct patient care, collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, and strict adherence to safety and infection‑control standards.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care to critically ill patients in the ICU.
• Monitor, assess, and accurately document patient conditions.
• Administer medications and treatments within the Enrolled Nurse scope of practice.
• Assist Registered Nurses and other team members with patient management.
• Operate and monitor ICU equipment safely and effectively.
• Respond promptly to changes in patient status and escalate concerns as needed.
• Maintain precise patient records and clinical documentation.
• Provide compassionate support to patients and families while upholding hospital policies and SANC regulations.

Required profile

• Diploma or degree in Enrolled Nursing.
• Registered with the South African Nursing Council (SANC).
• 3–5 years of ICU experience.
• Strong clinical knowledge and patient‑care skills.
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency in operating ICU equipment.
