Hybrid Sales Representative – Tier 2 (Sales & Merchandising)

About the role

Diplomat South Africa is looking for a Hybrid Sales Representative – Tier 2 to lead sales and merchandising activities in KwaZulu‑Natal (Durban). Reporting to the Regional Manager, you will ensure that customers receive professional merchandising service and that sales targets are met.

Key responsibilities

• Execute the sales plan for allocated customers and achieve monthly sales and display targets.
• Analyse customer and sales metrics to support business decisions.
• Negotiate display and shelf‑space agreements with customers.
• Develop product knowledge, especially for pharma items such as Vicks, Clear Blue, Oral‑B, and conduct active‑ingredient detailing.
• Build and maintain strong customer relationships and resolve complaints.
• Manage merchandising team costs and monitor stock levels, ordering, and display compliance.
• Ensure planograms, promotional materials, and shelf labels are correctly implemented.

Required profile

• Experience in sales, merchandising or pharmaceutical product detailing.
• Ability to manage a merchandising team and coordinate with sales representatives.
• Strong analytical skills to interpret sales data and customer metrics.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
