HVAC Project Manager – Cape Town

About the role

We are seeking an experienced HVAC Project Manager to lead projects in Cape Town for a reputable HVAC contracting firm. The role involves overseeing all phases of project delivery, from planning and material procurement to site execution and hand‑over.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Bill of Quantities (BOQ) and order relevant materials.
• Prepare and submit claim documentation.
• Develop and approve variation order quotes.
• Create detailed project plans with work schedules and completion deadlines.
• Coordinate site meetings, issue site instructions, and control labour on‑site.
• Administer contract charges and ensure compliance with building contracts.
• Read and measure drawings on‑site and verify as‑built plans.
• Liaise with engineers, builders, and other stakeholders.
• Compile and submit the Operation & Maintenance (O&M) manual.

Required profile

• A relevant Project Management, Mechanical Engineering or trade‑related qualification.
• 5–10 years of experience in a project management role within the construction or HVAC sector.
• Strong mechanical and electrical knowledge of machines and tools.
• Excellent understanding of HVAC systems and their components.
• Own vehicle and a valid driver’s licence.
