About the role

The HR Specialist will manage the delivery of HR services across the South Africa and Sub‑Saharan affiliate, supporting both Aesthetics and Therapeutics business units. Acting as the primary liaison between the local business and Corporate HR, the role ensures seamless integration of HR programs, policies, and initiatives.

Key responsibilities

  • Align HR actions and service delivery with the overall HR strategy and business requirements.
  • Implement HR programs, maintain data accuracy, and lead changes in HR information systems such as Workday and the leave management system.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with HR partners, practice areas, service centers, and external providers (e.g., medical insurers, recruitment agencies).
  • Represent the HR function, promote available services, and uphold the HR organization’s reputation.
  • Support policy and procedure review, drafting, approval documentation, and change communication.
  • Provide consultative support to managers and employees on HR policies and practices.
  • Ensure compliance with local labour laws, regulations, and company policies.
  • Oversee payroll activities for the affiliate, coordinating with global payroll, distributors, and third‑party contractors.
  • Manage the full employee life‑cycle, including onboarding, off‑boarding, system exits, payroll reconciliation, and asset retrieval.
  • Administer third‑party contractor relationships and internal communications related to people moves, policies, and cultural initiatives.

Required profile

  • Proven experience delivering HR services in a multi‑country environment.
  • Strong knowledge of South African and Sub‑Saharan labour legislation and compliance requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage payroll processes and coordinate with global payroll teams.
  • Excellent relationship‑building and stakeholder‑management skills.
  • Experience handling onboarding, off‑boarding, and internal communications.

Required skills

  • Workday (HRIS) implementation and administration.
  • Payroll platform management (e.g., HR Connect or similar).
  • Leave management system operation.
