Hotel Receptionist

About the role

We are looking for a friendly and professional Hotel Receptionist to join The Capital Hotels team. In this front‑desk position you will be the first point of contact for guests, ensuring a smooth and memorable stay while upholding our values of dignity and integrity.

Key responsibilities

• Check guests in and out of the hotel efficiently.
• Maintain guest accounts and process transactions throughout their stay.
• Handle special requests and resolve any issues promptly.
• Assist guests with reservations and provide accurate information as needed.

Required profile

• Matric certificate and a Hospitality qualification or equivalent.
• 1–2 years of experience as a receptionist in a hotel or similar environment.
• Strong computer literacy, especially in MS Office and a reputable PMS such as Protel.
• Calm under pressure, problem‑solving mindset and ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
• Honest, trustworthy, detail‑oriented and able to maintain confidentiality.
• Presentable, well‑spoken and able to work flexible shifts.
