About the role
The Hotel General Worker role supports the daily operations of a hotel in the Johannesburg area. The position can be scheduled during the day or night and involves maintaining cleanliness in public areas as well as handling linen and luggage transfers.
Key responsibilities
- Clean public bathrooms, lounges, foyers, corridors, staircases, balustrades, landings and elevators.
- Transport linen between the hotel laundry and guest cabin areas on turnaround days.
- Move guest luggage between cabins and baggage collection points.
- Work either day or night shifts as required.
Required profile
- Fluent in oral and written English.
- At least 6 months experience as a cleaner or chambermaid in a high‑standard international hotel.
- Ability to work harmoniously within a productive team.
- Understanding and knowledge of a wide range of cleaning products and equipment.
- Neat and tidy personal appearance.
