Home Loans Sales Consultant

About the role

Our client, a well‑established organisation in the home loans and financial services sector, is seeking a driven Home Loans Sales Consultant to join their Durban team. The role focuses on business development, client engagement and converting leads into successful home‑loan applications.

Key responsibilities

• Generate and develop new business opportunities within the home loans market.
• Proactively source and engage with prospective clients.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, estate agents and business partners.
• Conduct client needs analysis and identify suitable home loan solutions.
• Manage leads and follow up consistently to maximise conversion opportunities.
• Guide clients through the home loan application process from enquiry to completion.
• Achieve and exceed monthly sales targets.
• Maintain an active sales pipeline and ensure effective lead management.
• Identify opportunities for referrals, cross‑selling and additional business.
• Provide professional, personalised service throughout the client journey and keep accurate records.

Required profile

• Grade 12 / Matric qualification.
• Previous experience in home loans, banking, financial services, property or a target‑driven sales environment.
• Proven sales track record with ability to generate and convert leads.
• Strong business development and client relationship management skills.
• Excellent communication, negotiation and presentation abilities.
• Highly target‑driven, self‑motivated and results‑oriented.
• Ability to work independently while contributing to a high‑performance sales team.
• Strong administrative and follow‑up skills; FAIS/RE5 qualification advantageous.
