About the role
To adopt a holistic view to students in their care, promoting general progress and well‑being, and to create a positive learning environment that motivates learners to achieve their full potential.
Key responsibilities
- Prepare and present interesting and exciting History lessons.
- Establish a nurturing teaching environment that promotes engaged learning.
- Behave professionally concerning punctuality, behaviour, standards of work, and students’ homework.
- Evaluate, reflect on and refine teaching practice.
- Offer academic support on two afternoons per week and assist with extracurricular activities.
- Produce high‑standard resources for students.
- Set and mark exams, write report comments and attend special occasions as required.
Required profile
- Confidence with the use of IT in teaching.
- Proven track record of teaching History.
- Previous experience with IEB Programme.
- Minimum of 4 years’ experience (advantageous).
- University qualification and Certified Teaching Status.
- Unwavering commitment to student development and passion for the profession.
