About the role
A leading private hospital in Pretoria is looking for an experienced High Care Unit Manager to oversee clinical governance, patient safety and the delivery of high‑quality nursing care within a critical care setting.
Key responsibilities
- Support the adoption of digital health technologies and electronic patient records.
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clinical and support teams.
- Lead, mentor and develop nursing staff, promoting professional growth and wellbeing.
- Manage departmental budgets, billing processes and stock control.
- Drive quality‑improvement, risk‑management and infection‑control initiatives.
- Ensure safe, cost‑effective patient care aligned with evidence‑based practice.
Required profile
- Registered Nurse with a valid SANC registration.
- Post‑basic qualification in Critical Care.
- Qualification in Health Services Management.
- Minimum three years of experience after speciality qualification.
- Strong leadership and financial acumen.
