Help Desk Technician – IT Support (Cape Town)

About the role

We are seeking a proactive Help Desk Technician to provide first‑line IT support to office staff in Cape Town. You will be the point of contact for hardware, software and network issues, ensuring smooth daily operations.

Key responsibilities

• Respond to support requests via phone, email, Teams and in person.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware, software and network problems.
• Manage help‑desk tickets efficiently and maintain accurate documentation.
• Set up new users, desktops and related IT equipment.
• Support Microsoft 365 users and Windows environments.
• Maintain IT asset registers and ensure compliance with security policies.
• Escalate complex issues to senior staff when necessary.

Required profile

• Minimum 2 years experience in an IT Helpdesk or Desktop Support role.
• Strong knowledge of Windows 11 Professional.
• Experience with Microsoft 365 administration and deployments.
• Working knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP and TCP/IP.
• Excellent troubleshooting, problem‑solving and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
