Help Desk Support (Sasolburg)

About the role

The Help Desk Support position provides first‑line technical assistance to municipal users, ensuring smooth operation of information systems and data services. The role is based at the Head Office in Sasolburg.

Key responsibilities

• Provide advice and assistance on the effective use of information systems.
• Assist with data design, transform data models into approved physical designs, and test conversion processes.
• Execute help‑desk operations, troubleshooting hardware and software issues via telephone.
• Ensure service availability, data protection, and perform application maintenance and ICT support.

Required profile

• National Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in ICT/Business Management or an IT Technician certification (CompTIA A+/N+, Microsoft Certified IT Professional, Cisco certified professional).
• 1–2 years of experience in computer networks and systems maintenance.
• Organisational awareness, consulting, monitoring and control, and strong oral and written communication skills.
