Health Telesales Consultant – Johannesburg

About the role

Discovery is looking for a motivated Health Telesales Consultant to join its Connect Sales call centre in Johannesburg. You will be responsible for driving health product sales through inbound and outbound telephone interactions while providing excellent service to members.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and pursue sales opportunities for Discovery Health products.
• Answer inbound calls promptly and make required outbound calls.
• Maintain accurate records and statistics of all queries.
• Achieve health sales targets and quality standards.
• Communicate with members via telephone, fax and email.
• Conduct Financial Needs Analysis and overcome objections.
• Handle general administration and coordinate your own workload.

Required profile

• Matric qualification.
• At least 1 year of sales experience, preferably in outbound telesales.
• Minimum 1 year of health product knowledge; familiarity with Discovery Health is a plus.
• Strong target‑driven, goal‑oriented and self‑motivated attitude.
• Ability to work under pressure, adapt to change and manage time effectively.
• Fluent English (accent neutral) and Afrikaans.

Required skills

• PC literacy.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
• Email handling.
