Head of Supply Chain (GDSO)

About the role

The pharmaceutical company is looking for a GDSO Head of Supply Chain to lead strategic and operational management of its distribution and supply functions. You will ensure the right products are available at the right time, in the right quantities, while meeting all pharmaceutical quality and regulatory standards.

Key responsibilities

• Lead end‑to‑end supply planning, translate forecasts into supply requirements and monitor demand versus actual sales.
• Develop contingency plans for shortages, delays and disruptions, and optimise inventory levels to meet service targets.
• Oversee product distribution to customers, wholesalers and partners, managing 3PLs, warehouses and logistics performance.
• Establish inventory strategies, monitor stock levels, minimise stock‑outs and control excess or obsolete inventory.
• Collaborate with Sales and Marketing on product launches, campaigns and market changes, providing visibility on stock availability.
• Ensure all distribution and supply activities comply with pharmaceutical legislation, company policies and Good Distribution Practice (GDP) requirements.

Required profile

• Strong communication skills in English, both oral and written.
• Extensive knowledge of the pharmaceutical supply‑chain landscape and competitor offerings.
• Commercial acumen with the ability to align supply decisions with market dynamics.
• Proven experience managing supply‑chain operations across private, state and public sectors.

Required skills

• Good Distribution Practice (GDP) compliance knowledge.
• Experience with inventory management systems and supply‑planning tools.
