About the role

Salt Digital Recruitment is seeking a Head of Software Engineering in Johannesburg to lead the technology transformation. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving innovation and modernising mission‑critical platforms, while overseeing a team of developers working with technologies such as C#, Java and Flutter. This position requires close partnership with senior leadership to ensure that technology delivery aligns with the organisation’s strategic objectives, and to maintain secure coding practices and compliance throughout the software development lifecycle.
