Head of Internal Audit

About the role

Communicate Finance is seeking a strategic leader to build and run its Internal Audit function. Reporting to senior executives and board committees, you will shape audit frameworks, influence governance decisions and provide independent assurance across finance, operations, compliance, technology and risk.

Key responsibilities

• Develop and execute a risk‑based internal audit strategy and annual audit plan.
• Lead financial, operational, compliance, governance and technology audits.
• Present audit findings and actionable recommendations to executive management and governance committees.
• Drive data‑analytics and technology‑enabled audit methodologies.
• Identify emerging risks, control weaknesses and improvement opportunities.
• Monitor remediation plans and ensure timely resolution of findings.
• Mentor internal audit staff and manage external audit service providers.
• Build strong cross‑functional relationships while maintaining independence.

Required profile

• Minimum 8 years of internal audit experience.
• Proven experience in a senior internal audit leadership role.
• Strong understanding of governance, risk management and internal control frameworks.
• Ability to translate complex audit findings into practical business solutions.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder‑management skills.
