Head of Finance

About the role

The organisation is a well‑established global non‑profit focused on international community development. It is seeking a Head of Finance to lead its multinational finance function and drive strategy, governance and operational excellence across all hubs.

Key responsibilities

• Oversee day‑to‑day global operational finance, including accounts payable, bank reconciliations and payment approvals.
• Produce internal financial reports and forecasts to support executive decision‑making.
• Lead statutory and tax reporting, ensuring compliance and managing the group audit lifecycle.
• Manage the annual budgeting process and implement robust financial controls.
• Direct liquidity management, treasury activities, currency trading and cash management across international locations.
• Own and lead the global NetSuite ERP implementation and ongoing development.
• Establish performance objectives and skills matrices for international finance teams.

Required profile

• CA(SA) qualification with 10+ years post‑article experience.
• Proven experience leading finance teams across multiple international locations.
• Operational exposure to treasury, statutory reporting, financial control and operational finance.
• Direct experience managing currency trading and cash management in a global environment.
• Experience in charitable, non‑profit or international development sectors.
