Head of Finance

About the role

We are a progressive, purpose‑driven training company specialising in compliance training for the financial services sector. We are looking for a dynamic Head of Finance to join our leadership team in Johannesburg (or KZN) and drive operational excellence and sustainable growth.

Key responsibilities

• Lead budgeting, forecasting, reporting, and financial planning
• Oversee cash flow, compliance, payroll, tax, and audit processes
• Provide strategic financial insight to support business growth
• Manage and develop the finance team and systems
• Partner with leadership on commercial and operational decision‑making
• Ensure strong governance and risk management practices

Required profile

• Chartered Accountant (SA) qualification preferred
• Minimum 5 years’ senior finance leadership experience
• Strong commercial acumen and strategic thinking ability
• Experience in training, professional services, or financial services advantageous
• Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
